Out with the old and in with the new

Freecycle_logo

After spending the last couple of weeks going through seldom used items and offering them on my local freecycle group I wanted to remind you of this great resource. Does your family freecycle? Do you even know what freecycle is?

Communities all over have freecycle groups. Instead of tossing items in the garbage you are encouraged to offer them on freecycle and keep usable items out of landfills. There are different groups depending on where you live and you can be a member of several different groups.

I have obtained great things by being a member of my local freecycle group such as a food dehydrator, live plants, clothing, books and several other items. In addition I have also offered items such as beds, clothing the girls have outgrown, toys, books, kitchen items, even surplus food items.

I encourage you to find your local group and join.  There are also Yahoo groups, outside of the official Freecycle.org group, that you can be a part of.
