Kroger to stop double and triple coupons
Yesterday we got official word from Kroger that beginning April 13th all coupons in the Houston area Krogers will be redeemed at face value only. No more doubles or triples.
In place they are allowing you to stack your gas discounts, meaning that if you have 3 of the 10¢ discounts you can combine them for 30¢ off per gallon for that purchase.
You can read more about it here and watch for the interview today at 4:45 with a live web chat right after.

I am an avid coupon cutter and have taken advantage of double and triple coupons at Kroger for over a decade. It is very disappointing that products I would normally buy with the extra discount I will have to find elsewhere for a better price. I do feel this will affect my shopping habits at Kroger... disappointing given how long I have been a loyal customer.

Please tell Kroger thanks but no thanks. That is bogus since many markets already do that on top of d/t coupons. As Judge Judy says, "don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining".

Kroger is going to be missing out on ALOT of $$$$$. After April 13, they will NOT be getting the majority of my business. How do I contact them to let Kroger also?

I'm an advid coupon clipper. I'm originally from MI, and when I first arrived here 4yrs ago, the first thing I realized is Houston is not big on coupons. My first store I went to was HEB, and when they did not double I immediately decided this was not a store I would shop at very often...then I found my favorite store: KROGER, which I frequented in MI...now they are not doubling coupons anymore:( This does not make me happy at all.
Yes, I've been too Randalls like 3/4 times since I relocated here, their prices are high! I've been ready to return home, but this is another thing that makes me totally ready to return to my home state...
I'm very disapointed in Kroger, espeically w/the economy being in the shape it is currently in..everyone is trying to manage their funds, no jobs or jobs going away...
Kroger is going to miss out on a lot of $$$$$ for sure....I hope these comments are forwarded to KROGER so they will realize their profits will definitely be decreasing...
