I know we all like to eat out once in awhile and not always fast food. Here is a list of nicer places that offer cheaper meals.
Restaurants
offering affordable eats
Here's who's doing what:
• Chili's. On April 6, the chain will offer a "10 meals for under $7" deal.
• T.G.I. Friday's. This month, Friday's began a promotion featuring eight entrees priced at $9.99
• Applebee's. Since mid-November, the chain has offered a "2 for $20" special of two entrees and one appetizer.
• Outback Steakhouse. For months, the chain has marketed 15 meals for under $15.
• Texas Roadhouse. The chain recently launched an "Early Dine for $7.99" promo on weekdays.
• Cheesecake Factory. A "Small Plates and Snacks" menu includes a $4.95 Pizzette, a flat, football-shaped pizza some folks are ordering as a meal
With Easter just around the corner many parents are scrambling for goodies to put into the kids baskets. It does not always have to be candy. Currently at buy.com you can get one of these Magnavox key chain Digital cameras for just $4.99 each while supplies last. (read this as hurry before they are gone) This is a perfect little trinket that the kids will love. There is a limit of 5 per person and shipping is free. If you have an Ebates account, buy it through there so you will earn a rebate on the camera/s.
The Urban Harvest Bayou City Farmers Market will have a free kids day this Saturday, March 28th from 8am-noon. Activities include face painting, crafts, cooking demonstrations, baby animals and much more. You will also have the opportunity to purchase crops grown by local schools. For a map and more information click here.
Given the current state of the economy consumers are trying to save anywhere they can. For some that means clipping coupons and for others that means shopping at warehouse clubs. But who wants to fork over the membership fees for a warehouse club you have never been too?
Occasional you can get a free one day pass at warehouse clubs. That time is now! Go here and look for the Sam's Club ad to fill out your one day pass. Offer expires 3/31/2009. This will give you the opportunity to see if a membership would be a good idea for your family.
Spring is finally here! Hopefully this nice weather stays around for some time, I really enjoy it. With it being the first week of spring there are tons of great outdoor activities to do for free. Others are just completely free offers.

Many companies out there offer diaper surveys. They will send you diapers to test out for free plus offer a payment for your time. Arquest is one of those companies. You have to call to get on the list to do the diaper studies.
You can also press 9 for "diaper study" when you call the above number. It is a recorded message.
