Drive toll roads for free
According to the Harris County Office of Emergency Management, fees on all Harris County toll roads will be waived until further notice, beginning at 6pm Wednesday, September 10, 2008.

If the evacuation is anything like Rita, they need to put up a sign in the window announcing "FREE DAY."
A lot of people (me included) were pulling into the "pay toll" lanes.

This is a great idea! It keeps the traffic flowing to some extent! Please keep the tolls free all weekend!!

What if we have EZ TAG installed in our cars? Do we still get charged?
That would be bull, since we are the frequent users who pay to use the service....

Why the hell did they bottleneck all the toll plazas? They should have left all the lanes open instead of forcing everyone into the ez tag lanes. Someone making decisions made a very bad one!!!
